Tips to Prevent Child Deaths in Hot Cars

87% of children who have died in hot cars are under the age of 3.

Here is a list of tips to help prevent the death of a child.

1. Look Before you Lock
2. Keep Something in the Backseat you need…phone, left shoe, etc
3. Keep a Stuffed Animal riding shotgun
4. Lock the doors always..prevents curious kids from getting in the car in the garage
5. Hide the keys/fobs from the kids
6. Have a plan with a childcare provider..if your child is a no show, they call you
7. If you see something, do something…IF you see a child alone in a car, whether yours or someone else’s, call 911
