100-year-old Lester Wright is not just sitting around.
Recently, Wright broke the World’s Record for the 100-meter dash for men in his age group with a time of 26.34 seconds.
He accomplished the feat at the prestigious Penn Relays.
Wright said, “It was pretty nice to be able to do this at age 100. When I came here, I was a little bit nervous, but when I saw the crowd and everything, I fell right in with it.”
This scene is familiar to Lester. He was a high school track star in New Jersey in the 1930s.
