Florida Principal Under Investigation For Paddling Student
A Florida principal is under investigation for paddling a six-year-old student.
Video of the incident shows Central Elementary School Principal Melissa Carter paddling the student three times with a wooden paddle for causing $50 worth of damage to a school computer.
The student’s mother was present and secretly filmed the punishment. Later she told reporters that she was shocked by “the hatred with which she hit my daughter”.
Some Florida school districts allow for corporal punishment, but not Hendry Country, where the school is located. Local police are investigating the incident while the school district has not commented so far.
