Come 2022, Denver Is Getting A New Area Code!
The new prefix will be added to the 303 and 720 overlay area. This was just announced by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission on Thursday.
According to the PUC, the 303 and 720 area codes were projected to run out of available phone numbers by late 2022.
The 303/720/983 area codes will cover mainly Denver, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Adams, Boulder and Douglas counties.
