Looking for a fun way to get family/friends together, get moving, and make a difference in the

community?

WESTMINSTER Wednesday, September 28, 2016: The Senior Hub, Inc. is holding our 1 st Annual “Step

up for Seniors” STEP-A- THON! This event is set up to be fun for all ages! You can participate in a

number of ways: by stepping, walking, cheering, spectating, sponsoring, and more! The opportunities to

help are limitless! The event will be held at Mountain Range High School – 12500 Huron Street,

Westminster, CO 80234 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm.

Participants are encouraged to form teams of 5-10 steppers ages 8-80+ years ($30 per person or $150 per

team). Each stepper will have a pedometer throughout the event; at the end of the event, each team’s

number of steps will be totaled! An awards and raffle ceremony with refreshments and snacks will follow

immediately! In addition to the prize for the most steps, there will be a prize for the best-dressed team –

teams are encouraged to wear costumes or matching outfits – make it as fun and silly as possible!

The Senior Hub, Inc. is a nonprofit that serves the seniors of Adam’s County as well as parts of

surrounding counties. Our mission is to preserve and/or regain the independence of our senior citizens

through our many services that include: Meals on Wheels, Food Bank, Homecare services, Adult Day

Service, Medical Equipment Lending, volunteer opportunities for retired seniors, etc.!

With the growing number of seniors, there is also a growing need! Many seniors are capable of living

independently, but need a bit of assistance. Our services allow seniors to stay in their homes, but also give

their families and caregivers assistance and much-needed support!
